Dearly loved Friends,

It is with great joy that we are now able to announce that registrations for the deepening course to be facilitated by Dr Habib Riazati are now open.

The course is entitled:

The study of the major concepts and themes of the Summons of the Lord of Hosts and their relationship to the Secret of Divine Civilization & Treatise on Politics by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá as well as the World Order letters of Shoghi Effendi

In light of ongoing events that clearly demonstrate signs of the destructive forces operating in society, it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish the constructive processes that operate in the world, and to obtain and share a vision of what a Bahá’í State will look like. In light of this, the course will touch on a multitude of subjects, some of the questions being addressed being the following:

  • How does Bahá’u’lláh define Power and Authority?
  • Do ends justify means as Machiavellians believe?
  • What does Separation of Church/religious authority and State/civil authority mean?
  • What are – according to Bahá’u’lláh – the signs of maturity of humankind in relation to the political power and how it is used?
  • What are the major duties of a just government?

The course will be held at the Centre for Bahá’í Studies in Acuto, Italy. It will start with dinner on December 23rd and it will run up to the evening of the 28th. Participants are welcome to stay overnight and depart after breakfast on the 29th.
