As you know, this year marks the first universal observance of the Festivals of the Twin Holy Birthdays of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh. When asked whether, in light of Bahá’u’lláh’s affirmation that “These two days are accounted as one in the sight of God”, whether one or two celebrations would be appropriate, the Universal House of Justice shared the following guidance:
With respect to whether it would be suitable and appropriate for the Twin Holy Birthdays to be celebrated on one occasion, the Guardian clarified that gathering and refraining from work are necessary and required on both days.
