Service opportunity – Bahá’í Council for Wales

The Regional Bahá’í Council for Wales is seeking a Secretariat Aide to commence at the beginning of February. 

The role of the Aide is to support the Secretary in executing the decisions of the Bahá’í Council for Wales.  Tasks also include: assisting with communications; liaising with institutions, agencies and individuals; collating reports on the progress of clusters; assisting with the flow and presentation of information, statistics and stories; organising the logistics of events and meetings; travelling occasionally to participate in meetings and projects across Wales.

Necessary skills and qualities for this position include: personal involvement in, and understanding of, the work of the Five Year Plan; a humble posture of learning; a sensitive and loving approach; good communication skills, computer fluency, ability to write clearly and to be efficient with time.

In the first instance, the post will require approximately 15 hours per week (three hours per day, five days a week, or two seven and a half hour days a week) and involving occasional weekend commitments (within the 15 hours).  A salary is available to enable the successful candidate to carry out this service, as needed and further details will be provided.  The successful candidate may take a lesser amount than the salary on offer or serve in a voluntary capacity.
