Dearly loved Friends,

As the Festival of Riḍván draws near and arrangements are being made for the election of the Local Spiritual Assemblies, the National Spiritual Assembly is mindful of the following guidance from the Universal House of Justice:

No quorum is required in the holding of an election for a Local Spiritual Assembly. This rule also applies in the case of by-elections. The mere fact that less than nine vote for the members of the Local Spiritual Assembly does not invalidate the election.

In light of this it is hoped that as many communities as possible will be able to hold their Riḍván elections in-person, for the first time since the first lockdown in this country, even if only a small number of friends can be present.
