Unit convention dates: 1 – 2 December 2018
The National Spiritual Assembly wishes to announce that the 2018 unit conventions will take place over the weekend of 1 – 2 December 2018. An exception is provided to the ‘Shetland & Orkney Islands’ and the ‘North Highlands & Western Islands’ units, which for reasons of transport may hold their unit conventions between early September and mid-October.
As you may know, a window of several weeks was given for the past two unit conventions. Having reflected on this experience, the National Assembly feels that designating a single weekend would be preferable, so as not to tie up a number of weekends that make it difficult for communities, clusters, agencies and institutions of the Faith to plan for other activities.
It is suggested that you put these two days in December 2018 in your diary and that you keep this weekend free. It would be wise not to plan any other Bahá’í activities for this weekend, until the specific date of the unit convention in your area has been selected closer to the time. This will facilitate as many friends as possible having the bounty of participating in this event which, as you are aware, holds great importance in the rhythm of Bahá’í community life.
