Dearly loved Friends,

Further to our announcement of 14 September 2017 [GC-31718], we are happy to share with you some more details of the Winter Youth Conference, to be held at the end of this year for the Bahá’í youth of the United Kingdom and Ireland, and their friends.

The conference will take place between 27 and 31 December 2017 at the Kingswood Dearne Valley Centre, Denaby Main, Conisbrough, DN12 4EA. Please note the revised dates. The Centre is located in the beautiful South Yorkshire countryside, 20 minutes from Doncaster.

The conference is a space for large numbers of youth to join together in deeply and creatively considering such themes as: the vital role youth can play in community building and the advancement of civilisation, their responsibility towards the younger generations, and the fostering of mutual support and assistance. The arts will feature prominently, and evening programmes will include story-telling and inspiring presentations on the history of the Faith.

Our hope is that the conference will be a joyous and uplifting occasion, in which many young souls can be rallied and encouraged in a process that connects their thoughts and actions with the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, and which energises them to reflect on the particular services they can render for humanity. By this means, we are confident that the conference will provide a significant impetus to the movement of youth.

The National Assembly warmly encourages all youth to attend, and to invite their friends and fellow students who could join the youth movement and make their contribution towards building a better world.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary
