To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

The National Spiritual Assembly recently received a heart-warming letter from the Continental Board of Counsellors for Europe, expressing its gratitude for the continuous and generous flow of contributions made to the Continental Fund from all the Bahá’ís of Europe. The letter also highlighted the needs of the Continental Deputization Fund, and the National Assembly wished to bring this fund to the attention of the friends.

The Continental Deputization Fund was described in the 1996 Riḍván message of the Universal House of Justice in the following manner:

“Centre your energies in the propagation of the Faith of God,” Bahá’u’lláh thus instructs His servants, adding, “Whoso is worthy of so high a calling, let him arise and promote it. Whoso is unable, it is his duty to appoint him who will, in his stead, proclaim this Revelation…” Just as one deputizes another to teach in one’s stead by covering the expenses of a pioneer or travelling teacher, one can deputize a teacher serving an institute, who is, of course a teacher of teachers. To do so, one may make contributions to the Continental Bahá’í Fund, as well as to the Local, National and International Funds, earmarked for this purpose.

As the process of expansion and consolidation gathers momentum, communities across Europe are gaining ever-greater vitality and unity in service to the Cause. Naturally, with this growth in activity, it is necessary for financial resources to keep apace. Contributing to the Continental Deputization Fund is a wonderful way of participating in the teaching work on our continent.

May the Almighty assist, guide and strengthen all of the friends in their endeavours to serve His Cause!

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

National Spiritual Assembly
