National online memorial meeting honouring
Farzam Arbab, Douglas Martin and Violette Haake

The National Spiritual Assembly warmly invites all of the friends to join it for the national online memorial meeting for former members of the Universal House of Justice Farzam Arbab and Douglas Martin, and Violette Haake – former member of the International Teaching Centre.

The meeting will take place on Zoom on Sunday 22 November at 7.30pm.  The Zoom link and password will be shared in due course.  Friends of the Faith, contacts and community of interest members are all welcome to share in this special gathering to honour these three distinguished souls.

The programme of prayers and readings and the audio-visual presentation being prepared for this meeting will be made available to the community for use in local memorial gatherings and devotional meetings which, at the request of the Universal House of Justice, all are encouraged to host.

Final opportunity to attend Fund Gathering

Over the past few months, the National Spiritual Assembly has hosted gatherings for believers around the United Kingdom, designed to raise consciousness of the principles of universal participation and sacrificial giving to the Fund, as well as the current financial needs of the Cause.  Participation in the gatherings has been high, resulting in a welcome increase in contributions despite the challenges posed by the present pandemic.  For those friends who have not yet attended such a gathering and wish to, a final session will be held on Friday 6 November, from 7.30pm to 9pm.

As numbers will be limited, please register using the following link: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAqf-urqTMrGtSop6FbW-8Mal0Hc7WlMWvz if you would like to attend.

Submitting items for pre-publication review

The attached letter [GC-35195] is a reminder from the National Spiritual Assembly to the friends that any Bahá’í literature, articles or audio-visual items which are to be sold or circulated widely must be submitted for pre-publication review.  This is to safeguard the Faith from misrepresentation and to ensure dignity and accuracy of presentation.  Full details of the Literature, Audio-visual and Academic Review Panels and how to contact them are contained in the letter.
