Dear Bahá’í Friends,
In a message dated 29th January 2017 to all National Spiritual Assemblies, the Universal House of Justice conveyed its great sorrow over the passing of Mr. Fred Schechter, “humble, loving, steadfast servant of the Cause of God”, who during a life of selfless devotion to the Faith had also served as a member of the International Teaching Centre. The Supreme Body called “for memorial gatherings to be held in his honour in all Houses of Worship and in Bahá’í communities throughout the world.”
In response to the call of the Universal House of Justice, we would like to inform you that a memorial gathering for Fred Schechter will be held at the European House of Worship in Hofheim-Langenhain on Saturday, 25th February 2017 at 20.00 h / 8.00 p.m.
All friends are cordially invited to attend this memorial gathering in honour of Fred Schechter.
