To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

In response to the call of the Universal House of Justice of 11 October 2019 [GC-34255] for gatherings to be held in honour of ‘Alí Nakhjavání, the National Spiritual Assembly is pleased to inform you that the national memorial meeting will be held on Monday 30 December 2019 at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.

The gathering will take place following the closing session of the Bahá’í Society for Persian Arts and Letters’ annual conference.  Friends attending the conference and staying for dinner are warmly invited to remain afterwards for the memorial programme.  Those who will be coming especially for the meeting are asked to arrive by 7.30pm to ensure that the programme can start promptly at 7.45pm.

Memorial gatherings will also be held in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester, and the friends are encouraged to attend the meeting that is most convenient for them.  The same programme prepared for the national memorial meeting will also be used on these occasions.  The gathering in Manchester will take place on Saturday 15 February 2020 and details of this, as well as dates and details for the other three meetings, will be announced in due course.

The National Assembly hopes that as many of the friends as possible will avail themselves of this opportunity to remember “an extraordinary figure” and a “singularly remarkable life.”

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary
