The Office of Public Affairs [OPA] of the National Spiritual Assembly is seeking an additional member to join the team of friends serving within it.

As part of a growing number of staff and volunteers working in the Office, the Assistant would help to implement strategies concerning participation in the discourses of society and the building of relationships with sections of the media.  Click here for a full description of the role.

This is a full-time service position, however, part-time applications will also be considered, and a salary is offered to enable the successful applicant to carry out this service.  As with all service to the Faith, there is also the opportunity to undertake it on a voluntary basis or part-voluntary basis. The initial service period is two-years, subject to review at the end of the period.

Please feel free to contact the Office of Public Affairs for further information regarding this role by contacting opa@bahai.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 6 March 2020.

Registrar training day
Every Bahá’í event requires a registrar who plays the essential role of managing the bookings and serving as the main point of contact for those attending.  Many events are related to Five Year Plan activities so it is vital that a growing number of people can be called upon to serve as registrars which will allow institutions to organise events to meet the needs of the plan.

The National Spiritual Assembly’s Events and Logistics committee provides training and tools to support friends serving as registrars.  To meet this need, a training day will be held on 28 March 2020 at the Bahá’í Training Centre in Arncott, Oxfordshire.  If you would like to serve as a registrar and are able to attend please contact the Events and Logistics Committee at events@bahai.org.uk to find out more.  Even if you are not able to attend this training day but would still like to be trained as a registrar then this can be arranged, so please contact the committee.

The committee very much hopes that the number of trained registrars can support the future plans of the institutions and looks forward to meeting friends who are willing to be trained and serve as registrars.
