To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

The passing of dearly loved Redwan (Ridvan) Moqbel, a former member of this Bahá’í community, on 9 October in Winnipeg, Canada, has brought great sadness to the National Spiritual Assembly.

Redwan was a warm hearted, wholly devoted, steadfast servant of the Blessed Beauty, whose indomitable faith and consecrated spirit were a source of inspiration to countless souls all over the world. Gifted with a rare eloquence and a delightful sense of humour, he rendered many highly valuable services to the Cause, including membership of the National Spiritual Assembly of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1992 and of the Auxiliary Board for protection. Following his move to Canada for professional reasons, dear Redwan continued to serve the Faith with distinction, including a spell as an Auxiliary Board member in Alberta as well as membership of the Executive Committee of the Association for Bahá’í Studies in North America. One of the greatest joys of his loving and tender heart was to encourage the services of the Bahá’í youth-awakening them to the truths of the Revelation, rallying them behind the Plans of the Universal House of Justice, accompanying them in their humble efforts to serve-and he continued to do this until the very last days of his precious life.

The National Assembly extends its deepest condolences to Redwan’s dear wife Shar, his beloved children Sam and Marianne, and to all members of his bereaved family, and will offer prayers for the progress of his illumined soul in all the worlds of God.

With our warmest love,

NATIONAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE BAHÁ’ĺS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM
