22nd Summer Festival at the European House of Worship
Dear Bahá’í Friends,
The German Bahá’í Summer Festival Committee would like to cordially invite you to this year’s 22nd ‘Sommerfest’ at the European Bahá’í House of Worship in Hofheim-Langenhain, on Sunday 25th June 2017, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The National Spiritual Assembly of Germany has asked us to organize this years ‘Sommerfest’ with an emphasis on the bicentennial anniversary of the Birth of Bahaì’u’llaìh in 2017. This celebration presents an opportunity for the friends to reach out to society and to all those with whom they share a connection, whether through family, an occupation or neighbourly relations or mere acquaintance—so that we may rejoice altogether in the message.
The duration of the ‘Sommerfest’ is from the morning through to the early evening with international foods and soft drinks, coffee, tea and cake being made available. The children’s activities are extensive. There are at least four devotionals which will be offered in the House of Worship. The cultural program is in the Hazíratu’l-Quds where in a more contemplative and tranquil atmosphere sessions of musical and artistic performances are offered.
This festival is where the Bahá’í friends can be hosts to their friends and families and to the general public of the region around the House of Worship and spend a day in an atmosphere of joy, friendship, openness and tranquility.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask all our Bahá’í friends from European countries to consider firstly attending the event and secondly if they can in any way contribute to this very special festival. We are always looking for artistic and musical contributions to add to our cultural program and festivities. So, if you have any ideas, suggestions or contributions please let us know as soon as possible, but no later than the end of May.
