To all believers in the UK Bahá’í Community
Dear Friends,
The National Spiritual Assembly is pleased to share with you a compilation of short, clear explanations regarding each of the major holy days celebrated by Bahá’ís, written in a way that makes them accessible to a wider audience including those interested in learning more about the Faith.
As you are aware, there are nine days in the Bahá’í calendar that are set aside to be observed as holy days when work is suspended, as well as two additional holy days where work is not suspended. These holy days are celebrations and commemorations of important events in the lives of the central figures of the Bahá’í Faith. They are the most sacred days in our calendar and play a significant part in the pattern of Bahá’í Life. It is hoped that the friends will find them useful in understanding the purpose and background of each holy day.
Please find attached, separately and also compiled together in one file, an explanation on each of the following, including the Ayyám-i-Há:
With loving Bahá’í greetings,
National Spiritual Assembly
