Dearly loved Friends,
The National Spiritual Assembly recently had an opportunity to reflect with Counsellor Shirin Fozdar-Foroudi upon the letter from the Universal House of Justice to the Bahá’ís of the world, dated 1 August 2014, concerning the progress made thus far in raising up two national and five local Houses of Worship.
In response to the call of the House of Justice for “universal and sacrificial support” for the Temples Fund, which will “ensure the steady progress of the next phases” in the development of the Houses of Worship, it gives us pleasure to announce that the National Assembly decided to contribute £19,000 from the National Fund to that Fund. We are grateful to the House of Justice for the opportunity to offer this humble contribution, and thereby lend a further share in the mighty spiritual enterprise of building the World Order envisioned by Bahá’u’lláh.
We also take this opportunity to heartily commend the 1 August 2014 letter to the thoughtful study of all the friends. This could take place in various collective settings, including in home visits. A copy of the letter is enclosed for your ease of reference.
