To the Bahá’ís of the United Kingdom
Dearly loved Friends,
The National Spiritual Assembly is delighted to share with you the names of those who will serve on the Regional Councils for England, Northern Ireland and Scotland for the coming year commencing today, the Day of the Covenant. The membership of the Council for Wales will be announced in the coming days, as soon as the appointment is finalised.
Those serving on the Councils for England and Scotland were elected and those serving on the Council for Northern Ireland were appointed by the National Assembly, in consultation with the Counsellor, and having due regard for the lists of confidential nominations received from the ballots of Local Assembly members and the Auxiliary Board members in that region.
The members of these three Regional Councils are as follows:
England: Naghme Adab-Fozdar, Marco Milone, Homa Saadat, Ramez Salmanpour, Farhad Shahbahrami, Darren Smith, David Smith, Stephen Vickers, Natasha Wilkinson.
Northern Ireland: Orang Agahi, Jamie Anderson, Soha Graham-Anderson, Kathleen Holmlund, Claire Parris.
Scotland: Wendy Borrill, Allan Forsyth, Jeremy Fox, Ian Fozdar, Andrew Goodwin, Parvin Morrissey, Hannah Moshtael-Oskui, John Parris, Mina Shepherd.
Charged primarily with supporting and guiding the work of expansion and consolidation in cluster after cluster and with fostering the participation of increasing numbers in a rising number of programmes of growth, the Regional Councils fulfil a very special role in the life of the Bahá’í community of the United Kingdom.
The prayers of the National Assembly are with the dear friends who serve on these institutions, that their ardent and sacrificial efforts may ever be attended by the divine bestowals and bountiful confirmations of the Blessed Beauty. Bahá’ís across the land will also no doubt wish to offer their supplications for the success of the Regional Councils’ endeavours.
