To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

As you may know, the Bahá’í Agency for Social Economic Development (BASED-UK) serves to support social and economic development learning and action as part of the Bahá’í International Community’s commitment to building a more unified, equitable and ever-advancing global civilisation. BASED-UK collaborates with overseas development agencies to assist them in their efforts to build capacity in local populations to take charge of their own social and economic development through the application of spiritual principles and systems of knowledge.

The main function of BASED-UK is to channel funds to Bahá’í inspired social economic development initiatives abroad in collaboration with the Office for Social and Economic Development (OSED) based at the Bahá’í World Centre.

BASED-UK is currently trying to learn how to articulate its role and the Bahá’í approach to development in a variety of spaces. To this end, you are warmly invited to a short presentation and participatory discussion on BASED-UK and exploration of elements of the Bahá’í approach to development.

The gathering will take place on 17 April, 8:00pm at the National Ḥazíratu’l-Quds, 27 Rutland gate, London SW7 1PD

With loving greetings,

The Trustees of BASED-UK
