Bicentenary message

Dearly loved Friends,
On Saturday the National Spiritual Assembly – together with Counsellor Shirin Fozdar-Foroudi and the Auxiliary Board members serving the United Kingdom, Ireland and Iceland – had the opportunity to study, and consult together about, the soul-stirring message from the Universal House of Justice, dated October 2017, to mark the bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh. This letter, as you know, is addressed to “all who celebrate the Glory of God” and states that this message “can feature at appropriate occasions associated with the bicentenary celebrations and be shared with those who might be receptive to its contents.” It expressed the hope that its contents will be “explored in countless conversations over the coming weeks, as the friends determine to do all they can to respond to the opportunities before them at this time.”
Thus, for example, the message could inspire and illuminate a conversation during a home visit or at a fireside, could assist in the formulating of opening remarks for a bicentenary gathering and be given as a gift to its attendees, or be read or presented following a screening of the film, Light to the World.
To assist the friends in this regard, the National Assembly has prepared and attached two presentation versions of the message in PDF format: an A4 version and an A5 folded version. You are encouraged to print as many copies of these versions as you require for your use, selecting a good quality paper worthy of the significance and beauty of this message.
If you are taking the files to a commercial print shop (for example, a Kall Kwik or Prontaprint), we have also enclosed versions with ‘bleed’ marks, to assist the printer in formatting the message for large print runs. If you do not have access to a printer or print shop locally, you may request hard copies from the National Spiritual Assembly at nsa@bahai.org.uk. Please specify the number of copies you require and given a mailing address.
Dear Friends, the beloved Supreme Body has given us such a profound and precious gift in this message and has high hopes for its dissemination and use. We feel sure that every soul that joins you in celebrating the Glory of God in the days to come will be touched by its message of hope for humanity.
