We are delighted to share with you the following extract from a message of 4 October 2016, written on behalf of the Universal House of Justice:
We are pleased to inform you that the National Spiritual Assembly of Chile has made arrangements for the live broadcast of certain portions of the highly anticipated dedication of the House of Worship in Santiago, which will unfold between 13 and 16 October 2016. This presents a unique opportunity for the friends in local communities across the Bahá’í world to gather together and partake of the spirit of the proceedings on this historic occasion.
Through an array of artistic presentations that draw on the rich cultural heritage of the peoples of Latin America, the dedication programme will contemplate themes pertinent to the inception and unfoldment of the Bahá’í Faith in that region, the response of its peoples to the Divine Message, and the spiritual significance of this last continental Mashriqu’l-Adhkár. … The Bahá’í World News Service will also broadcast the public dedication ceremony on 13 October.
A schedule of the events that will be broadcast is enclosed for your kind attention.
Please note that the timings given in the schedule are in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), but the United Kingdom will still be in British Summer Time (BST) during this period. The broadcast times in our community will therefore be one hour ahead of the GMT time; for example, if a broadcast is scheduled for 14:00 GMT, it will begin at 15:00 BST.
It would be most appreciated if you could share this news with any of the friends who do not have access to email and assist them in finding a way to view the webcast if possible.
We hope that as many of the believers as possible will be able to take advantage of this delightful opportunity, and, if circumstances permit, to invite friends from the wider community to join them in watching the programmes associated with the historic dedication of the Mother Temple for South America.
