Dearly loved Friends,

In a letter dated 26 November 2013 from the Universal House of Justice to all National Spiritual Assemblies, news was shared of the progress that is being made in constructing the Bahá’í House of Worship in Santiago, Chile—the last such Bahá’í Temple destined to serve an entire continent. A copy of that joyous letter has already been disseminated to the community in the United Kingdom.

Inspired by the update on this magnificent, divine enterprise, the National Spiritual Assembly felt moved to set a goal for the community of contributing £19,000 towards the fund for the House of Worship. The National Assembly is contributing £9,000 immediately from the National Fund towards this goal, and is confident that friends across the country will participate in helping to meet the remainder of this pledge. What a bounty it is to be able to support the raising up of an institution that is so integral to the godly life enjoined upon all by the Blessed Beauty!

Further information about the construction work in Chile; the society-building activities of the surrounding community; the production of the edifice’s constituent parts around the world; and the services of volunteers working at the site—to name but a few matters—can be found on the Bahá’í World News Service website (http://news.bahai.org/story/975), and in the videos on the ‘Bahá’í Temple of South America’ website (http://templo.bahai.cl/noticiario_eng.htm).

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

National Spiritual Assembly
