To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

With love and greetings, the National Spiritual Assembly writes to inform the community that it has appointed new members to serve on the coordinating team of the UK’s Office of Public Affairs with effect from 28 May 2014.

As you may know, the Office of Public Affairs undertakes specialised work for the National Spiritual Assembly, such as contributing to the defence of the Bahá’ís in Iran and to prevalent discourses in society at the national level. The coordinating team is the consultative body that guides the strategy and oversees the work of the Office of Public Affairs.

The newly appointed members of the team are:

  • Mrs. Annabel Knight,
  • Mrs. Padideh Sabeti,
  • Miss Rosie Smith,
  • Mrs. Shirin Taherzadeh and
  • Mr. Saba Tahzib.

Mrs. Padideh Sabeti has been asked to serve as the convenor of the team for the coming three months at which time the situation will be reviewed.

The National Assembly is deeply grateful to Dr. Kishan Manocha for all the devoted services he has rendered as a member of the team and its convenor since its inception in 2010.

As normal, should any of the friends need to contact the Office of Public Affairs, they may write to opa@bahai.org.uk.

We offer our prayers that, in engaging in this specialised field of endeavour, the members of the coordinating team of the Office of Public Affairs may be bountifully confirmed by the Ancient Beauty.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

National Spiritual Assembly

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary
