To all the believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved friends,

The National Spiritual Assembly has agreed to a request made by Mrs. Vivien Craig to be relieved of service from the Institution owing to her advancing years.  Mrs. Craig will continue to serve as a member of the National Assembly until the upcoming election at National Convention during the coming Riḍván.  The delegates to the Convention have already been informed of this development.

Along with this announcement, the National Assembly wishes to convey to dear Viv its heartfelt gratitude for her many years of service to the Assembly.  Viv, who first took up service in 2013, will be sorely missed around the National Assembly’s consultation table, but it has no doubt that she will continue to serve the Faith with distinction and fervour.  She carries with her our very best wishes for her future.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary

Facilities Coordinator / Custodian at the National Ḥaẓíratu’l-Quds

The National Spiritual Assembly is continuing to look for an individual to serve as a Facilities Coordinator and Custodian at the National Ḥaẓíratu’l-Quds at 27 Rutland Gate in London.  Drawing on volunteers and external suppliers, the role is to maintain and improve the building, to support activities and events such as open days and the bookshop, as well as assisting with certain office administrative tasks. The role also includes serving as Custodian of the National Ḥaẓíratu’l-Quds which, drawing on volunteers, involves welcoming visitors and providing hospitality services, as well as ensuring the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the building – a cleaner is employed and will report to this role.

This is an important role to help with the smooth running of the National Ḥaẓíratu’l-Quds, the seat of the National Spiritual Assembly.  So we are looking for an individual who has some experience in building maintenance and working with suppliers, can work with and accompany volunteers in their service, and has a desire to maintain and beautify this precious and sacred building.  This role is for three to five days a week. There is flexibility to interested applicant to undertake the role as one person full-time with the relevant skills or part-time by two people – possibly a couple.  Accommodation can also be provided if the applicant does not live in London.

A salary is offered to enable a successful applicant to carry out their service. As with all service to the Faith, there is also the opportunity to undertake it on a voluntary basis or part-voluntary basis. For more information about the role and to apply for the position, individuals are kindly asked to send an email to nsa@bahai.org.uk.  Applications should be submitted as soon as possible.

Your prayerful consideration of this opportunity to serve is deeply appreciated.
