To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

A remarkable message (below) has been received from the Universal House of Justice as a response to the message sent to it by the delegates and friends gathered at National Convention.

Expressing the House of Justice’s “high expectations of what may be achieved in the United Kingdom during the two years that remain of the Plan,” and its hopes that the “believers in that land will add a golden page to the history of their community,” the message calls us to new heights in our service to Bahá’u’lláh.  It is worthy of a pause, a moment of deep reflection upon the part that each and every individual, community and institution can play in realising the victory the message sets before us, during the two cycles leading to the celebration of the bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb, and beyond into the six remaining cycles of this Five Year Plan.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary

THE UNIVERSAL HOUSE OF JUSTICE

To the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United Kingdom

Assurances of the commitment and determination felt by the friends stood out in the message sent to us from your National Convention, and we commend the spirit that gave rise to them.  Indeed, we have high expectations of what may be achieved in the United Kingdom during the two years that remain of the Plan.  Through the quality of their faith and the deeds of valour they perform, we cherish the hope that the believers in that land will add a golden page to the history of their community.  We will supplicate in the Holy Shrines that the friends of God, unperturbed by the daily accumulating evidences of a prevailing order that is lamentably defective, may see their acts of service supported by the hosts of heaven above.
