To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

How enthusiastically did so many of you respond to the first Day to Pray on Saturday 4 April.  This was but one step in a growing movement to create greater spiritual consciousness, through prayers for all mankind, through elevated conversations and through serving others.

To support Bahá’ís and their friends in their participation in this movement, a resource titled Elevate is being created in a dedicated section of www.bahai.org.uk, as well as on social media – @elevate.uk on Instagram, with a Facebook page to follow shortly.  There you will find:

  • Collections of prayers and readings drawing upon the themes and many of the qualities indicated in the Naw-Rúz and Riḍván 2020 messages of the Universal House of Justice;
  • Links to music, video clips and literature resources;
  • Links to online events such as devotionals and firesides which all can join;
  • A space for the friends to post their own creative responses;
  • Easy to share artwork and quotes for use on social media platforms.

This resource will build up over time as the movement gains momentum and more experience is gained through your feedback.  The items are designed to be shareable and accessible to anyone,  and can be sent as gifts to uplift the spirits of loved ones, friends and neighbours during this difficult time.

As we commence the holiest period of the year – the twelve days of Riḍván – the National Assembly invites you to give thought to how to draw upon the spiritual energies available during these special days, to raise the devotional character of every space, to elevate conversations, and be of service to others.

The friends are encouraged to check in regularly to the website and above all, share your experiences and send your feedback, thoughts, ideas and suggestions to elevate@bahai.org.uk.  These will help the team in developing the platforms.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary
