To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

The National Spiritual Assembly is delighted to share with you the names of those who will serve on the Regional Bahá’í Councils for the coming year, commencing on 26 November, the Day of the Covenant. Those serving on the Councils for England and Scotland were elected and those serving on the Councils for Northern Ireland and Wales were appointed by the National Assembly, in consultation with Counsellor Shirin Fozdar-Foroudi, and having due regard for the lists of confidential nominations received from the ballots of Local Assembly members and the Auxiliary Board members in those regions. The members of the Regional Councils are as follows:

England: Naghme Adab-Fozdar, Ronnie Yousefzadeh Bindra, Homa Saadat-Fehilly, Ramez Salmanpour, Farhad Shahbahrami, David Smith, Olinga Tahzib, Stephen Vickers, Natasha Wilkinson

Northern Ireland: Orang Agahi, Jamie Anderson, Soha Graham-Anderson, Claire Parris, Maria Ward

Scotland: Venus Alaee-Carew, Wendy Borrill, Allan Forsyth, Ian Fozdar, Andrew Goodwin, Parvin Morrissey, Hannah Moshtael-Oskui, John Parris, Mina Shepherd

Wales: Tessa Abbas, Louise Doughty, Mahmoud Foroughi, William Jenkins, Azar Melville

With seventeen months remaining in the current Plan, and with much achieved but also with vital work still to be done — including the establishment of nineteen new programmes of growth — the National Assembly is extremely grateful to the dear friends who serve on the Councils for their sacrificial efforts to advance the processes of growth. Our prayers are offered on their behalf, and we encourage the friends everywhere to also offer their supplications, that the endeavours of the Councils may attract manifold confirmations.

We take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation for those friends who have been relieved of service from the Regional Councils, both of whom have made invaluable exertions towards the progress of the Cause in their regions.

Scotland: Jeremy Fox
Wales: Sima Hedges

We are confident that with their considerable capacities and experience, they will continue to serve with distinction in their local communities and neighbourhoods and, indeed, beyond. Our love and prayers are with them and their dear families.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

National Spiritual Assembly

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary
