Service position at the National Haziratu’l​-Quds – Assistant Secretariat Aide

This is a further call by the National Spiritual Assembly to invite the friends to apply for the role of Assistant Secretariat Aide at the National Bahá’í Centre. Please find below a short service description for this role:

Assistant Secretariat Aide
This is a highly responsible full-time position and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Reporting to and working with the Coordinator of the Secretariat, the person is responsible for assisting in the preparation of reports for the National Assembly, including research relating thereto; drafting formal letters arising from meetings of the Assembly; responding to general correspondence, including matters of a confidential nature and procedural enquiries for marriages and funerals; dealing with telephone enquiries; and assisting with annual routine matters such as Bahá’í elections. The individual should be able to systematically plan, organise and prioritise a wide range of tasks. An excellent understanding of the functioning of the Bahá’í Administrative Order and the application of the laws, and a good grasp of and commitment to the work of the Five Year Plan, are required. The assistant secretariat aide will also need to be familiar with Microsoft Office computer programs, such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Close accompaniment will be included as part of an induction period at the commencement of the term of service.

A salary is offered to enable a successful applicant carry out this service. As with all service to the Faith, there is also the opportunity to undertake it on a voluntary basis or part-voluntary basis. The initial service period is two-years, subject to review at the end of the period.
