There is an immediate need at the Baha’i World Centre for individuals who possess the relevant training and experience to fill the following positions:

Design Architect
Licensed architect or nonregistered graduate in architecture or similar field of work. The Design Architect (Project Coordinator) provides design, and produces construction documents, specifications, documentation and as-built drawings. This individual works within a team but is also able to perform tasks independently. He or she assists the Project Manager (PM) with preparation of cost estimates, site supervision and final project checks. The preferred candidate has advanced skills in AutoCAD, 3D-modelling (Sketch Up), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Project Manager (PM)
Project Manager in the construction and design field with a minimum of five years of work related experience. The PM actively contributes to all aspects of the project and works closely with the team of Design Architects, developing all necessary design and construction documentation. This individual creates the scope of work, prepares cost estimates, budgets and memos, and leads negotiations with various contractors and vendors. The PM collaborates with the Design Architects and supervises the work of the contractors. He or she is responsible for the successful completion of residential, office and historic building projects. The preferred candidate has advanced skills in construction management, MS-Excel and AutoCAD and has basic knowledge of 3D-modelling (Sketch Up), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Operations Facilitator
The Operations Facilitator is responsible for upholding standards of cleaning and maintaining offices and exterior areas, and preparing and implementing training programs and schedules. Planning and communication skills, coupled with an ability to motivate others, are highly desirable. He or she should enjoy cleaning and have an appreciation for a beautiful environment. A valid driver’s license is required.

Mechanical and Electrical Engineers
The engineers are responsible to provide engineering and technical support for the operation and maintenance of building services’ equipment such as HVAC system, electrical distribution system, water filtration system. The major focus will be on improving the operation and implementing upgrade of existing facilities.

Recruiter
The Recruiter is responsible for ensuring the timely filling of positions with suitable staff. The position requires a mature individual, with good knowledge of written and spoken English, and communication skills. Must be able to work independently as well as in a group, have the ability to maintain confidentiality, direct work flow, and monitor several tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail, flexibility, tact, good organizational skills, the ability to perform clerical tasks and work with computer programs, preferably Microsoft Office products, are also essential.
