To all believers in the United Kingdom

Dearly loved Friends,

The National Spiritual Assembly is pleased to be able to share with you arrangements for representatives of all National Spiritual Assemblies and Regional Bahá’í Councils throughout the world to gather in the Holy Land in November 2021 for the Centenary Commemoration of the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.

In a letter written on behalf of the Universal House of Justice to all National Spiritual Assemblies, dated 1 December 2020, it is explained that each National Spiritual Assembly will select two members, one male and one female, to attend the event.  The selection will be done through a process of drawing lots and it will take place at the National Assembly’s April 2021 meeting, following its election.  At the same meeting, lots will be drawn to select one representative from the membership of each Regional Bahá’í Council, who will also be invited to attend the Centenary Commemoration gathering.

The gathering is planned to take place from 21 to 28 November 2021, commencing with pre-Commemoration activities, including visits to the Shrines in ‘Akká and Haifa from 22 to 24 November.  The official programme will take place between 25 and 27 November.

It should be noted that owing to this momentous event, the pilgrimage programme will be suspended from 22 November to 1 December 2021 and also from 3 to 11 January 2022.  Additionally brief visitors may not go to the Holy Land from 10 to 30 November 2021 and from 28 December 2021 to 8 January 2022.

With loving Bahá’í greetings,

Patrick O’Mara,
Secretary
