Dearly loved Friends,
The Continental Board of Counsellors in Europe has advised of a recent change of membership in the Auxiliary Board.
In view of her family commitments, Mrs. Nasrin Khosravi has been relieved of her services as an Auxiliary Board Member for Protection. The Board of Counsellors has appointed Mrs. Carrie Varjavandi to serve in her stead as an Auxiliary Board Member for Protection for Scotland and the Faroe Islands for the remaining period of the Five Year Plan, until 26 November 2016.
The Continental Board of Counsellors writes regarding the essential role of the Auxiliary Board members:
The beloved Guardian described the Auxiliary Board members as a “vital and indispensable organ of the embryonic and steadily unfolding Bahá’í Administrative Order”. In a letter addressed to the Conference Marking the Inauguration of the International Teaching Centre Building in 2001, the Universal House of Justice stated that ministering to the crying needs of humanity for the divine prescriptions…
… largely depends upon the revolutionary vision, the creative drive and systematic effort of Auxiliary Board members and their assistants who prompt and encourage individuals, institutions and communities to act with dispatch, constancy and enthusiasm.
The National Spiritual Assembly wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to Nasrin for her outstanding services as an Auxiliary Board Member in Scotland and the Faroe Islands. We wish Nasrin and her family every blessing and joy in the future.
The National Assembly also takes this opportunity to assure Carrie of its warmest love, prayers and collaboration in the months to come.
