Service position at the National Haziratu’l​-Quds – Part Time Accounts Administrative Assistance

The National Assembly is pleased to share with you news of a part-time service position of Finance Officer that has opened within the Finance Office based at the National Office at 27 Rutland Gate in London.

Part Time Accounts/ Administrative Assistance

The post holder’s responsibilities will include working closely with the Finance Office Coordinator:

  • Managing financial records to ensure that they are properly controlled and accurate
  • Management of accounting for earmarked funds.
  • Preparation of Gift Aid returns
  • Supporting the co-ordination of volunteers
  • Arranging annual receipts of contributions
  • Responding to queries from donors and suppliers
  • Liaising with banking and insurers
  • Arranging & coordinate Local Assembly accounts preparation and audit

It is also intended that this post holder, in addition to carrying out the above functions, will offer administrative/secretarial support to the Treasurer of the National Spiritual Assembly, aiding the holder of that position to carry out the many and varied tasks that the role demands.

Skills
The National Assembly is looking to appoint a person with an accounting qualifications, other professional equivalent qualifications, or extensive work experience and proficient in using Sage and with very strong Microsoft Office skills. The person would be a team player, able to work independently with good command of English, Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organisational skills

This is a part-time – 5 half-days per week – paid position. A salary is being offered by the National Assembly to enable the successful candidate to carry out this service. However, as with all service to the Faith, it may be done on a voluntary or part-voluntary basis too. The initial service period is two-years, subject to review at the end of the period.
