Dearest Friends,
The Bahá’í Council for England sends to you its warmest love and greetings and would like to share the following information with you about the upcoming English summer schools and institute training. We urge all the friends, and their friends, to consider their plans for the summer in light of these inspiring and capacity-building opportunities.
Summer Schools (England)
The theme and programmes for the summer schools are being structured to reflect this sacred ‘period of potency’ and the bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb, being conscious all the time of the call of the House of Justice for each of us “…to draw inspiration and courage from the sacrifices of the dawn-breakers”, and that “by consecrating [ourselves] to the acts of service required in this age, [we] are emulating the noble qualities of [our] spiritual forebears.”
Northern summer school:
Location: York (the details of the venue will be shared in due course)
Dates: Friday 9th– Wednesday 14thAugust 2019
Southern summer school:
Location: Crawley, West Sussex (the details of the venue will be shared in due course)
Dates: Thursday 22nd– Tuesday 27thAugust 2019
Regional institute training
In alignment with the loving reminder from the Universal House of Justice that “releasing the capacity of the youth is, for each training institute, a sacred charge”, regional institute trainings are being organised at the start of the 2019 school summer holidays. This will allow youth to advance through the sequence of courses which will contribute immensely to raising capacities for community building. Ruhi books 1 to 9 will be offered and will be open to all youth aged 15 and above.

Dates: 10 or 14 days in the period Saturday 20thJuly – Sunday 4thAugust 2019
It would be wonderful if you could ‘hold the dates’ in your diaries. The Council and the training institute board are very excited about the summer schools and institute training and look forward to warmly welcoming you to these rejuvenating, reflective and inspiring spaces.
